machu picchu summer course
Our Spanish summer course is especially developed for those who want to enjoy their time in Peru as efficient as possible. In 4 weeks time you will get 80 hours of Spanish. You will get 4 hours of classes from Monday to Friday. The group size will be a maximum of 4 students with the same level. There are groups from beginners to advanced students. You will fill in a test to make sure you will be placed in a group with students with the same level.

The classes are 4 hours a day, so you will have enough time to get to know Cusco. Cusco has an interesting history which you will find back in its city centre and in the ruins in and around the city. And Cusco is a great place for those who want to enjoy a good nightlife.
But there are other options too. You can spend the rest of the day doing something for the people of Cusco. Unfortunately, in the city and the region of Cusco there is a lot of poverty. You can make a tribute, working in one of our projects during your month in Cusco. Proyecto Peru offers all the students the possibility to work as a volunteer during their stay in Cusco. Look at our volunteering part and give us your preference on the type of project you want to work in. Of course, you can also extend your time as a volunteer through Proyecto Peru, free of costs!

When you arrive in Cusco, we will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your guest family. A home stay with a guest family gives you the opportunity to experience the Peruvian culture and the hospitality of the local people. You can practice your Spanish with the family and you will enjoy the variety of the Peruvian kitchen through the daily breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Spanish school of Proyecto Peru has a small and familiar atmosphere in which you will feel at home immediately. At the school we have weekly activities, like welcome dinner, movie night, salsa class and cooking class.

In the weekends you will have excursions. With your fellow students, you will visit the most interesting places in Peru. You will have tours to the Sacre Valley of the Incas, to Lake Titicaca, to Machu Picchu and a rafting trip. The Sacred Valley of the Incas is the name of the fertile valley close to Cusco in which the old Inca culture and empire has developed. You will visit the archeological sites of Ollantaytambo and Pisac and also the popular market of Pisac.

And who has not heard of Lake Titicaca. Lake Titicaca is the largest lake of South America and the highest navigable lake in the world. A unique location and a popular trip. You will go by boat to visit the famous floating islands of Uros, made of reeds, where you will see their unique way of living. You spend the night on the island of Amantani with a local family. And of course you can’t go to Peru without visiting Machu Picchu. This amazing ruins in its absolutely fabulous location are a solely reason to visit Peru. One of the 7 world wonders!
